This blackboard, Chalk it up, is a perfect addition to the home. I purchased the blackboard panel as a finished product as it has an easy clean matt black chalking surface which is suitable for both liquid chalk pens or traditional chalk. I painted the white lettering with the signwritten words "Chalk it up" and the decorative motif across the bottom. The sign can be either free standing or wall mounted, I can also attach a suede leather string to the top if requested.
Whether you use it for jotting down your endless tasks or as a decorative piece about the home, this blackboard is sure to be useful, and it would add charm and character to any room.

I painted this sign, using traditional signwriting techniques and products, skills which I learnt many years ago, then reluctantly discarded; a lost love I have recently rekindled.

Being hand painted this sign is unique, individual and its characteristics in the lettering and artwork reflect my own ability with a brush as no part of it was machine printed.

I use salvaged panel materials when appropriate to add aesthetically qualities to my signs and to also help the planet.
