Hand painted ‘Greyhound Bus Ticket’ sign wall art

This sign is of a vintage Greyhound bus ticket. There are many elements in the painting process of this sign which are not so obvious from the photo. I painted it with a combination of acrylic and 1Shot enamel paints.

The ticket sign measures18cm x 27.5cm cm and I painted it on 6mm Mdf. This sign adds that perfect touch of vintage americana charm to any location being both a unique and eye-catching.

I painted this sign, using traditional signwriting techniques and products, skills which I learnt many years ago, then reluctantly discarded; a lost love I have recently rekindled.

Being hand painted this sign is unique, individual and its characteristics in the lettering and artwork reflect my own ability with a brush as no part of it was machine printed.

I use salvaged panel materials when appropriate to add aesthetically qualities to my signs and to also help the planet.
