'Shake it up’ strawberry milkshake hand painted sign, art.

This ‘Shake it up’ strawberry milkshake sign is both tactile and aesthetically attractive and has a touch of the 1960’s café style about it.

The 6mm maple plywood panel measures 21cm x 30cm and finished in a satin varnish. The image of a tall glass of strawberry milkshake with white swirls, single red cherry with stem and three small leaves is quite distinctive.

"Shake it up" is signwritten in black italic lettering. The sign design is simple and conveys a sense of fun and enjoyment.

This is a great sign for those who appreciate traditional craftmanship and want to gift someone or themselves something more meaningful than a product of the click and quick print tin culture.

I painted this sign, using traditional signwriting techniques and products, skills which I learnt many years ago, then reluctantly discarded; a lost love I have recently rekindled.

Being hand painted this sign is unique, individual and its characteristics in the lettering and artwork reflect my own ability with a brush as no part of it was machine printed.

I use salvaged panel materials when appropriate to add aesthetically qualities to my signs and to also help the planet.
