This hand painted ‘The South Downs Way ' sign was painted on a 21cm x 30cm Mdf panel.

I painted all lettering free hand in Old English font using traditional signwriting technics and panel I painted in an acrylic mid sheen black and has a random distressed edge.

The sign can be either free standing or wall mounted and would add a touch of traditional craftmanship to the home of someone who has walked that path.

I painted this sign, using traditional signwriting techniques and products, skills which I learnt many years ago, then reluctantly discarded; a lost love I have recently rekindled.

Being hand painted this sign is unique, individual and its characteristics in the lettering and artwork reflect my own ability with a brush as no part of it was machine printed.

I use salvaged panel materials when appropriate to add aesthetically qualities to my signs and to also help the planet.
